Some people chase snow, others chase light — I guess I’ve always chased both.

I grew up skiing in the Australian ski fields, learning how to read a mountain before I ever learned how to take a proper photo. Ski racing and moguls taught me rhythm, balance, and patience — the same instincts I now use behind the lens.

Since then, the mountains have taken me around the world: teaching, guiding, and learning in places where weather and light shift in a heartbeat. Somewhere along the way, photography became more than a way to remember — it became a way to tell stories. To slow time. To share what it feels like to stand in a place where words fall short.

My work sits at the intersection of adventure and emotion — from remote backcountry landscapes to quiet human moments. I’ve photographed everything from snowstorms to weddings, from commercial projects to spontaneous journeys, always searching for a sense of truth within the frame.

I’m based in Hokkaido, Japan, where winter paints everything in soft tones and deep snow. Here, I split my time between guiding, shooting, and creating work that reflects the simple beauty of being outside.

When I’m not in Hokkaido, you might find me on a remote beach with my wife and our newborn son, chasing a wave — or back at Mt Buller, coaching with Team Buller Riders, the freestyle ski program I grew up in. It’s a way of giving back to the community that’s given me so much.

Photography, for me, is about connection — to people and to place. It’s the fleeting light I’m drawn to, and the stories that unfold within it.

In the future, I hope to share that process through intimate photography workshops and travel experiences — journeys to unique corners of the world where adventure and art overlap.
